Vijay Singh, The former number one golf player of the world, having an Indian background, joined PGA Tour in 1993. Born in Fiji, for three times he won major championship and was the leading money winner of PGA Tour (for three times too).
While talking to reporters he told about his early life and said that he was not able to buy golf ball. He used Coconut as golf ball in his child hood. After growing up he also played snooker, rugby, football and cricket also. He also told that he was inspired by the Tom Weiskopf ‘s swing and used it in his early games. In his professional career he participated in 34 PGA Tour and 13 European Tour. His professional wins count 58. In the year 2004 he achieved both the PGA Tour Player of the Year Award and the European Tour PGA Player of the Year Award. In the same year he won the Byron Nelson award. In 2006 he was introduced to World Golf Hall of Fame. He is the second man to win USD 60 million to win from PGA Tour.
